The moon had given her beautiful, silver light glow through the French windows of the bed room. Despite the clouds trying to block her, she shone through. Onto the bed of two magnificent lovers. As one slept peacefully and soundly, the other was wide awake. He looked at her as she slept, holding her close, a million things going through his mind. He certainly wasn’t thinking….but feeling ....especially when he experienced ecstasy with her earlier. Not bad...for an old man....although not exactly, he thought to himself.
She, however, was just a young girl, twenty five to be exact.
Here is their story….
The House....
The outside of it looked normal enough. Like one of these homes that one would see in a regular suburban area. A two-story home that had many interesting features. It was occupied by four women who lived in residence there. Their names were Anne-Marie, Tammy, Cynthia, and Abigail. At the moment, it was sunset, and there's a lot of activity going on inside the house. Mainly because the others were planning a surprise birthday party....for Abigail.
“Let’s get this party started,” stated Anne-Marie joyfully.
“Oh, no you don’t! We have to wait for the birthday girl, and she’s the one who will get this all started," stated Tammy.
“Well at least let me get a drink,” whined Anne-Marie, grabbing a glass from the home bar.
As Anne-Marie began pouring herself a scotch, other people began to arrive. They were all friends, or friends of the friends of who brought them. Some trickled in, others arrived thirty minutes to an hour later. They also brought food for the celebration itself, and presents for the birthday girl. The cake hadn't still arrived, but at the eleventh hour, it finally did. This was mainly due to Cynthia putting on her charm and persuasion to the bakery who was making the cake.
One could see why it took so long to get it made. For chocolate lovers, the cake itself was perfection. A beautiful three-tiered masterpiece, topped with decorative, chocolate icing and strawberries. The cake itself was made with Devil's Food chocolate. One could argue the point, but one could also change the word devil to lived. Because one would certainly have to be living to get a piece of it!
The University....
As all of this was going on, Abigail was just finishing up her work at Oregon State University. She was studying to get her masters in English. Finals were going to be next week, and she needed to pass in order to graduate. She needn't have worried. After making straight A's for so long from grade school to getting her masters degree, one can certainly say that she has it in the bag. The degree that is.....
However, one thing that she didn't have in the bag was romantic relationships. Lack in this department was an understatement concerning Abigail. Mainly because she was terrified of them. She had heard too many horror stories; that's why she kept her distance. And yet, she craved the love and the closeness that many people wanted.
As she was thinking to herself, a man whom no one had ever really seen before around campus was walking from its' administration building. He was the picture of handsomeness, with the required ingredients of being tall and dark. His physique was one of perfection, the kind that clothes couldn't ever really hide. Sculpted muscles adorned his chest, arms, abs, and legs. They also bellied a strength that only fiction ever talked about. They fit with the way he moved, and he moved as if he owned the place, as if he owned everything that he saw before him. His name....was Frederick.
Abigail wasn't paying attention to her surroundings, thereby she didn't see what she was walking into. Which was into him. However, he did see her, and managed to keep her from plowing head long into him. This didn't save her books though, and they all fell to the ground.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. Please excuse me," Abigail stated in genuine empathy. They both bent down to pick up her books, and Frederick replied "It's okay. No harm, no foul." It was here that he got a look at her eyes. They were the picture of lavender fields. He found them very captivating, and they both stood up. Not showing her his startlement, Frederick handed her her books, saying "Be careful next time."
Abigail smiled back at him, saying "Sure and thank you." The she left. Meanwhile, Frederick never took his eyes off of her as she walked away. She reminded him of someone....
Normally, she wouldn't really be of concern to him. There were many reasons for this. However, her presence had intrigued him. To the point where that he would check her out at the first opportunity. At least to find out her name.
The Party.....
Abigail was trying to fight off sleep as she was driving. It didn't help that her SUV had a nice heating system that would put anyone to sleep. It also didn't help that it was now night fall. Nevertheless, she was able to make it to her destination. Home. However, as Abigail was pulling into the driveway, she was confused as to the many cars that were parked around the house. It made her curious as what was really going on inside.
There were no lights on to indicate any activity. Nevertheless, she got a sense that something was up. She decided to check it out, and walked up to the house front door. When she finally did, she had only gone a few steps in when she was greeted with a boisterous "SURPRISE!" from everyone there. This made her jump out of her skin; nevertheless, she was delighted.
"I can't believe you guys! How did y'all manage to keep this a secret from me?" asked Abigail.
"Well, that's what we're good at....keeping secrets when needed," replied Anne-Marie.
Abigail smiled at her in response, then hugged her. Which brought on the hugging brigade from everyone there. One of her many birthday presents. Then everyone began mingling around, eating and drinking. Some even skinny-dipped in the inside pool of the home. However, there were a few late comers. Nevertheless, they came bearing gifts and greeted the birthday girl.
Speaking of gifts, Abigail began opening her presents a few hours later. Much to everyone's delight, she took to opening them enthusiastically! She received many things like candles, perfume and lotion sets, spa certificates, etc. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
Anne-Marie went to answer it. When she opened the door, there were three men standing in attendance. Two of them were armed security, while one of them looked as if he ran with the big wigs. The armed security flanked him, while he stood front and center, asking "Are you Abigail Thompson?"
"No, I'm not, but hold on one moment," replied Anne- Marie. She called to to Abigail, telling her that there was someone at the door for her. Abigail, reluctantly and momentarily, abandoned opening her gifts to answer who was there at the door for her. When she arrives, she's surprised to find it's three men. The center man again asked, "Are you Abigail?"
She responds by saying, "Yes."
"May I see some I.D. please?" the center man asked.
"Excuse me?" Abigail asked him, while looking confused.
"It's just for verification mam," replied the center man.
Which didn't really relieve her confusion. Nevertheless, she nodded her head in compliance, and went to get her purse from her bedroom. All the while, Anne-Marie stood at the door with the gentlemen. Some of the party goers came around and joined her. When Abigail came back, she had her I.D. along with her. Once the center man verified this, he asked her to sign the release forms for what he was delivering.
Once Abigail did this, the security card to the center man's left handed him a beautiful box, while the center man handed off the release papers to the guard on his right. She, herself wondered what was inside of the box. Nevertheless, she had accepted it, and thanked the gentlemen for delivering it. They nodded in response and left.
Anne-Maire quickly locked the door, while hounding Abigail to open the box. Abigail was like "shush," holding her finger to her own lips, relaying the message. She finally reached the place where she was opening the rest of her gifts. The edge of the fire place.
Many people wondered what was in the box as well. Abigail decides to open it last. She took her time opening the other gifts, enjoying what she had received. Then came time for the box to be opened. She couldn't avoid it forever, much to the delight of others there. Especially Anne-Marie. Abigail picked it up, and placed it in her lap.
The box itself was made of soft balck leather. When she opened it, her jaw dropped in amazement. She sat in stunned silence for a few moments, just gazing at the contents. Which made people there want to know what it really was. She turned the box around to show what she had, which made everyone drop their jaws as well. The box contained a beautiful diamond and amethyst set that encompassed as a stunning necklace, pearl-drop earrings, and matching bracelet.
She took the necklace out of the box, and held it up. Anne-Marie enthusiastically volunteered to put it on her. Once she did, the bauble was even more stunning. Abigail put on the rest of the matching set, while Tammy let Abigail's platinum-blond hair down, which came past her waist. Cynthia showed her a mirror to reveal how she looked, and oh how she looked! Everyone there was like, "Goddess revealed."
Of course people wanted to know where the jewlery came from. So did Abigail, but she wouldn't find that out until much, much later. There was a card that came with the box, only saying..."Happy Birthday to a lovely girl with lovely eyes. This beautiful set matches them. Love....Your Secret Admirer."
She wondered who it was. So did everyone else......
The Following Morning....
Abigail was still looking at the jewelry, even after the party ended around 2:00 a.m. There were so many questions that went on through her mind. Even though it was pitch black outside, someone was watching her. He couldn't sleep. And neither could she.
She finally fell to sleep around 6:00 a.m., never realizing that someone was watching her all of this time through her bedroom window. He left...just before sunrise.
Abby slept in until around noon. She got up to drink some water, and went back to sleep again. When she fell asleep, she dreamt of a tall and dark handsome stranger. She felt as if she'd met him before, but she couldn't remember exactly where. Then she asked him his name. He replied, "You will know....very soon. Meanwhile, enjoy the jewelry that I sent you." Then the dream ended, and Abigail woke up immediately.
She had a feeling that she would run into him. Again. The only question is when....
A Few Weeks Later....
Her premonition came true. Abigail, along with her housemates, were invited to a house party in Portland, Oregon. The invitation was through a friend of theirs named Jamal, who had special connections. When they pulled up to the place, it was around 10:00 p.m. They were also stunned. Talk about size matters! The place itself was so big, that it looked as if it could fit three mansions inside of it.
It didn't help that the SUV she drove didn't really fit in with rest of the cars that were parked around the place which were Limos, Lincolns, Porshes, and other high-end cars. Nevertheless, she found a parking place, and she and her house mates got out. They were able to find their way inside. Others there were chatting amongst themselves, while observing them as they entered.
Several people wondered who they were. It was a casual affair, although Abigail and the others still felt a little under or over dressed. The others noticed how they looked too. Abigail wore a simple, short-sleeved lavender sundress that came to her knees, with beautiful low-heeled sandals. Although the look was simple, the look emphasized her ivory coloring, beautiful lavender eyes, the platinum-blond coloring of her hair, which was pinned up currently in a Grecian-style, and her slender, but shapely figure. Cynthia, with her mixed Creole heritage that gave her beautiful features and great hair, wore a sleeveless sundress that came to her ankles, mixed with a kaleidoscope of unique colors, and flat sandals. Tammy, the redhead, wore a dynamic green outfit that also matched her eyes, with black, fish-net stockings and black boots. And Anne-Maire was the blond playboy-image vixen, dressed up very lady-like, but sexy with her off-white power suit, and her black Manolo Blahnik shoes.
Jamal came up and approached them. They greeted him enthusiastically, and he signaled for a waiter to come over and serve them all a glass of champagne. Once this was done, he put them at ease by chatting with them for a while. Then someone came to cut into the fray.
"Hello. I see that you're enjoying yourself, Jamal. Won't you introduce me to your friends?" the man replied.
"Of course. Girls, this is Frederick. Frederick, this is Cynthia, Tammy, Anne-Marie, and Abigail." Abigail was stunned. This was the man that she'd ran into on campus. The man from her dream. He was even more handsome that she'd remembered. The one that told her that "....you will know...very soon," when she asked him what his name was. After quickly acknowledging the other girls, he turned his attention to her. She was even more beautiful up close, he thought to himself, despite her unpretentious appearance. He took her hand and kissed the back of it, saying "It's nice to see you.....again."
"Same here," Abigail replied, trying to hold herself together without swooning. Her girlfriends took note of this; however, they didn't say anything about it....as of yet. Then they all began mingling around; however, they decided to stay close to one another. The people there were friendly enough; however, they sensed many of them were somewhat reserved. Tammy was able to pick up who some of them really were. She decided to keep cool about it until they reached safely home.
After an hour passed, Abigail went to use the ladies room. Once she was done and had exited the ladies room, she was greeted by Frederick, who was waiting to get a moment alone with her. Abigail didn't happen to find this coincidental. And he wasn't pretending. They looked at each other in silence for a few moments. Finally, Frederick broke the silence by saying "I've been waiting to get you alone all evening."
"Yes, we have a lot to talk about," replied Abigail.
Frederick nodded, then "Will you follow me as to where we can talk more privately?" he asked.
Abigail thought about it for a few moments, then "Okay."
He took her hand, and led her up to the roof-top balcony. The place was stupendous, complete with a Zen-like garden and other attractive features. However, she didn't take in the scenery. She took in him. He invited her to sit, and he sat across from her. She began first by asking, "It was you who sent me the jewelry, wasn't it?"
"Yes," he replied honestly.
"How did you find who I was?" she asked.
"I asked around," he replied.
"Around my campus?" she asked.
"Yes," he answered.
"Who are you really? What do you do?" she asked.
"I am many things. I do this, and that, and quite a bit of the other," he answered.
"One final question. What do you want from me?"
Frederick looked at her for a moment, then he stood up and held out his hand to her, saying "Let me show you."
She took his outstretched hand and stood up. He brought her closer to him, circling her waist with one strong arm, while holding her hand softly with his free hand. He began slow dancing with her. She followed his lead. Talk about sweet surrender. At least that was the song playing in the background by Sarah Maclachlan. They danced some more, long after the song went off. Then he asked "Now do you see?"
After a moment, then "Very much so," Abigail whispered. Then they began slow dancing some more.
A Couple Of Hours Later....
Back inside, the girls began to look around avidly for Abigail. It had been a while since they'd last seen her. They asked Jamal to help them find her, and also agreed to split up to find her. They would meet back at where they were at now currently, which was in the middle of the foyer. Then they went in different directions. Anne-Marie decided to walk northeast. As she was walking, she happened to pass a small art gallery. She went looking around inside, but didn't seem to find anyone there. This process took her about fifteen minutes. In that time, another tall, dark, and handsome stranger appeared from out of no where. He definitely was European. His name was Adamian.
"Can I help you?" he asked her from behind, with a deep melodic voice.
Anne-Marie, jumped out of skin, turning around startled. She placed her hand over her fluttering heart, saying "Oh....you scared me," giving him a brief smile. She takes a minute to calm herself down, looking downward in the process. As she's doing this, Adamian takes a good look at her, thinking to himself, "Packaged prettily, but that's about it," thinking contemptibly.
Anne-Marie looks up at him slowly with this strange look. Little did he know that she was telepathic, and beginning to be certain of something. He had intentionally meant to scare her. She asked him "Packaged prettily?"
Now it was Adamian's turn to look confused, asking her "Excuse me?"
"Nothing," looking at him now in contempt, saying "Excuse me," beginning to walk away.
"Wait...." called Adamian.
"Ah, there you are," replied Jamal to Anne-Marie. "We were able to find her. All of the others are now waiting for you."
"I'm on my way," replied Anne-Maire.
"Jamal... you must introduce me to our departing guest," replied Adamian, just a little bit enthusiastically, catching up to them both.
She turned around to face him, deciding to answer that question. She looked at him straight on, saying "I'm Anne-Marie."
"Well, I'm..." stated Adamian.
"I didn't ask," she replied, then she faced Jamal's, saying "If you'll would excuse me,"
and walked away.
Jamal and Adamian looked at her as she walked away. Then Jamal turned to him, asking "What did you do to her?"
Adamian kept looking straight ahead after Anne- Marie's departing figure, not bothering to answer that question. Meanwhile, the girls left and went home.
On The Way Home....
Tammy was the first to bring up tonight's event, saying "You know that we were around a bunch of vampires, right? And a good number of them were sizing us up, seeing who they could get first."
Cynthia and Anne-Marie looked at each other in horror. Well that explains a lot, Anne-Marie thought to herself. Then she asked, "Did you know about this, Abigail?"
"No, I didn't. However, I suspect Jamal may know something, so maybe we need to talk to him."
"Yeah, we all do, "Cynthia concurred. "By the way, who was that handsome stranger that you disappeared with? I've never seen you almost swoon like that before." The others just laughed. Abigail grew red-cheeked, saying "His name is Frederick." Tammy smiled, then it dropped, and she asked seriously "Is he one of them?"
Abigail thought about this for a few moments, then "Yes."
A pregnant pause, then "Be careful, Abby" stated Tammy.
Abigail nodded back in response.
A Few Months Later....
After that night at the party, Frederick and Abigail began spending a lot of time together. It was like a dream for Abby, her own happy ever after. It would come soon enough though. As for Frederick, he grew more obsessed with her day after day. She never realized the power that she had over him, nor did she ever try to manipulate him. She wasn't really experienced doing that sort of thing. Which made him happy.
Only time would tell about anything. Especially to fact if they would be together...or not.
And speaking of time, it was only a matter of time that they would come together. One night, she was asleep in her bedroom. She was dreaming. She was dreaming of him. However, the dream felt so real this time. She felt someone was laying right beside her. She turned to see who it was. It was him, in her bed, under her sheets, in all of his naked glory. He looked at her in complete hunger, like he wanted to devour her whole. She moved to kiss him; he met her half way.
When their lips touched, it was like a kiss that neither of them had ever experienced before. Like a blazing light shinning through. First it started off softly, then it turned deeper, and deeper, and deeper. He cradled her closer to him, fitting her silhouette to his body. He couldn't believe that she was so close. And it still wasn't close enough.
"Baby, let me see all of you," Frederick whispered. He rose up slightly, and pulled the covers off of her. "Oh My Holy God," he whispered, more to himself, that is. Luckily, she loved sleeping as nature intended. He saw everything of her, and everything he saw was beyond immeasurable. Beyond beauty. Beyond grace. Beyond perfection. He ran one of his hands slightly down the center of her perfect, upright breasts. It had been raining earlier, but the rain had stopped. And the moon began to shine. Abigail left a candle burning nearby, and it smelled of Freesia scent.
He bent down over her, and scooped both of her breast gently between his hands. He teased one nipple with one hand, and the other nipple with his tongue. Abigail sighed with immense pleasure; her body responded to his magnificent touch. She held his head closer to the breast that he was licking and teasing. As he was doing this, one of his hands left her breast, and went to explore her womaness. Once he reached the place, his touch there set her ablaze, making her want more and more.
He was up to it. Then, he couldn't wait any longer, and climbed between her thighs. He kissed her all over her face, then reached her right ear lobe. He bit down on it gently. She was startled by this. That was nothing compared to when he entered her. Before she could cry out though, he covered her mouth with his. His kiss took her breath away.
He stayed still, although he desperately wanted to move. When he finally sensed that she could take some more of him, he pushed further, and further. Finally, they both were beginning to dance. And what a dance. They kept moving, and moving, until both of them reached the ultimate peak, and screamed in ecstasy.
But Frederick was not done. He had wanted her for so long. He had waited for her for quite long enough. He had only stopped to catch his breath, before he took her into his arms once more, and claimed her over, and over, and over again. The moon had given her beautiful, silver light glow through the French windows of the bedroom. Despite the clouds trying to block her, she shone through. Onto the bed of two magnificent lovers. As one slept peacefully and soundly, the other was wide awake. He looked at her as she slept, holding her close, a million things going through his mind. He certainly wasn’t thinking….but feeling ....especially when he experienced ecstasy with her earlier......
